Garvan Woodland Gardens "Garden Tai Chi"
Every Thursday, beginning September 19 - November 7, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Join Kathy Packard from the Oaklawn Center on Aging to learn the art of Tai Chi, which has been proven to relieve stress, strengthen muscles, and improve balance. Exercise or being active is essential for good health, and it is even more important for people with arthritis. Exercise improves the circulation of blood and body fluids through muscles, tendons and joints. For more information or to enroll in this class, call the Oaklawn Center on Aging at 501-623-0020. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Can be barefoot or wear soft shoes that do not restrict movement of the feet. There is no additional charge for these classes. Free to Garden members, Gardens admission for non-members. Rain location is the Magnolia Room.
