Have you ever cooked over a wood fire but wished you knew a little more about cooking outside? Have you ever wanted to do more than roast hot dogs or smores over a fire? We are offering a beginners class on Dutch oven cooking. It will cover cast iron cookware, how to figure out what temperature you are cooking with, and how to care for the cookware. Participants will cook a complete meal and then at the conclusion of the class share the meal. Each participant will receive a cookbook, a set of temperature charts, and some recipes along with more information about Dutch ovens. Class size is limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12. A non-refundable fee is required upon registration. Registration deadline is March 1, 2014. Pre-registration is required.
