Dear Hot Springs Visitor:
Welcome to Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, America's First Resort and one of the nation's premier tourism destinations. We are delighted to have you visit our city.
While you are in Hot Springs, whether you are here as a first-time visitor, a returning guest, as a delegate to a meeting or convention, or on business, I hope you will take advantage of everything we have to offer.
The choices are virtually unlimited.
If relaxation brings you to town, be sure to enjoy the natural thermal waters that gave Hot Springs its name. There are relaxing thermal baths, expert massage treatments and spa-type experiences. You'll be welcome at the Buckstaff and the Quapaw bathhouses, both located on world-famous Bathhouse Row in the historic downtown area. The thermal waters also are available at several downtown hotels.
While downtown, be sure to take advantage of our thriving fine art community, which features many art galleries available for your enjoyment and for expanding your personal collection.
If you are looking for excitement, you've come to the right place. Hot Springs is home to three crystal blue lakes - Hamilton, Catherine and Ouachita – which provide unlimited opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, scuba diving and other exciting activities. Hot Springs is also nestled in the Ouachita National Forest, which is loaded with places to hike, camp, see the sights and enjoy nature.
Of course, there's Oaklawn Racing & Gaming, which features America's finest Thoroughbred racing from January to April each year and also offers simulcast racing, gaming and numerous opportunities for dining – from Oaklawn's famous corned beef sandwiches to gourmet dining in several venues.
The Hot Springs Mountain Tower, located atop Hot Springs Mountain within the national park, offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding Ouachita Mountains for 50 miles in all directions. The Tower also features a big interactive gallery that tell the story
of Hot Springs through the generations. Mid-America Science Museum will entertain kids and adults alike with its amazing interactive displays and exhibits. Magic Springs Theme and Water Park welcomes guests for thrills and fun during late spring and summer. Be sure to visit the Gangster Museum on Central Avenue for a look back at Hot Springs' more notorious days.
And don't miss Garvan Woodland Gardens, America's premier woodland arboretum. Spread along the shore of beautiful Lake Hamilton, the Gardens teem with breathtaking hillsides covered by daffodils, azaleas, flowering trees and shrubs, all easily accessible via trails that wind through the landscape.
Golfers will find championship-level courses available for a relaxing game between meetings or stops at other Hot Springs attractions.
Hungry? Hot Springs has more than 200 restaurants to please every palate. Whether you'd like America's best barbecue, fine continental dining or classic American-style cuisine, Hot Springs has it all.
