fire stations, and fire equipment for communities with a population of
3,000 or less. At least 51% of persons benefiting must be low-income.
Other grants include County Fair Building Grant, Community Enhancement and Rural Community Development.

Arkansas Historic Preservation Program
Main Street Arkansas
The Main Street Arkansas provides access to the very best consulting and training services available for downtown revitalization. The National Main Street Center provides a network much like the network that Main Street Arkansas provides for local Main Street programs--for more than 40 states and more than 1,000 communities participating in the Main Street Four Point Approach to the downtown revitalization.

Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas
The Alliance's mission is to educate, advocate and assist preservation efforts across the state. Through educational programs centered on architectural heritage, advocating for preservation legislation in the halls of the State Capitol and at the local level, and assisting owners of historic properties with the means and expertise to preserve and restore historic structures, the Alliance is a statewide voice for preservation in Arkansas.

Certified Local Government
The Certified Local Government (CLG) program represents a partnership between the National Park Service (NPS), the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) and local governments (Arkansas cities and counties) to preserve historic resources at the local level. An Arkansas city or county is eligible to participate in the CLG program if it has appointed a Historic District Commission (HDC) and has passed a local preservation ordinance designating one or more local historic districts, according to applicable state law.
