The early settlers would not have been nearly as comfortable or productive without their long-eared companions. Join us for a celebration of the shear stubborn cussed-ness of the mules and donkeys of the Ozarks. Donkey races, fashion shows, and fun and games where the long-ears make fools of their human companions make this unique celebration a fun way to start your 4th of July holiday. Races start at 8 a.m. in the lower parking lot at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. Pre-registration required for competitors, no fee for spectators.
