4/11/2013
- 4/12/2013
Parkin Archeological State Park
Parkin, AR 72373
This event was specifically designed for homeschoolers to learn about the Native Americans who lived at the Parkin Site. Students will receive a guided tour of the remains of the Casqui Village. They will learn about the high quality of pottery that was found in the excavations and also discover facts about the daily lives of the Native Americans. We will cover the food they ate, tools and weapons they used, and their interaction with the Hernando de Soto expedition. Participants are encouraged to reserve a spot early as this event fills quickly.
