The National Park Service administers six areas within The Natural State. Arkansas's National Parks include: Hot Springs National Park, Buffalo National River, Pea Ridge National Military Park, Fort Smith National Historic Site, Central High National Historic Site, and Arkansas Post National Memorial. All of these national parks in Arkansas are of interest to the vacationer, historian, or nature enthusiast, and each offers its own uniquely significant attractions. However, only the first two mentioned, Hot Springs and Buffalo River, presently provide national park service camping facilities for the visitor.
