Mount Magazine, the highest point in Arkansas at 2,753 feet, features eight scenic overlooks, hang gliding, horseback riding, hiking, camping, rock climbing, rappelling, and interpretive programs. Outstanding butterfly population, boasting 94 of the 134 species found in Arkansas.
Scenic overlooks, trails, picnic sites, bathhouse, restrooms, picnic pavilion, visitor center with exhibit gallery and gift shop. A 60-room lodge, restaurant, conference center and 13 cabins open in early 2006.
