Bench Rock Nature Trail
This trail requires about an hour of leisurely walking. The trail is approximately 1.4 miles in length, and is steep and narrow at points and provides a nice vantage point of the lake. The trail begins right before the gatehouse at Indian Creek Park, climbs over a bench rock and provides an excellent view of the lake. About ½ of the trail leads you along the top of a bluff, providing a panoramic view of Beaver Lake. This type of overhanging bluff was a typical shelter of primitive Indians. The trail is extremely narrow and steep at some points. Small children should be closely monitored by adults on this trail.
