From South America to the South of North America came Dr. Sara Hardin. She studied English in New York, got her Ph.D. and married in Mississippi, then traveled the world in a constant state of learning, even establishing universities in Columbia. Sara and her husband John David eventually settled in Pine Bluff for three decades, and recently retired to Fayetteville. Sara loves teaching classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. “I have met wonderful people that have taught me how to sew and decorate cakes...” she said. Beyond that, Sara said they love their new home for “the climate, slow pace, fresh air, the mountains, the seasons, the recreation, the arts—and we’re able to enjoy [these] with our family. We are here to stay.”
