Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism
As a media representative, with a new year comes the desire for new ideas and stories. The 2011 Arkansas Media Kit is just what you need.
Available online at http://www.arkansasmediaroom.com/media-kit/, the kit contains feature stories, Arkansas attractions by six geographical regions – Ozarks, Ouachitas, Arkansas River Valley, Delta, Central Arkansas, and the Timberlands; information on top events and festivals, and what’s new for this year.

Some of the new attractions for 2011 include two zip line tours in the scenic Arkansas Ozarks, the reopening of the renovated and expanded Walmart Visitor Center, which includes Sam Walton’s original Five and Dime that became Walmart, and an imposing statue of Bass Reeves, one of Hangin’ Judge Isaac C. Parker’s deputy marshals who is believed to be the first black marshal west of the Mississippi.
Other new tourism attractions include the Clinton Presidential Park Pedestrian Bridge, the restoration of the historic Dreamland Ballroom, an African penguins exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo, the 20,000-square-foot Plantation Park Music Theater, and the Boogie Blast Surf Ride.
