Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa honored with two awards
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (Nov. 26, 2012) – The Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa has received two prestigious awards from the publishers and editors of ConventionSouth, the national multimedia resource for planning events in the South. One accolade was a 2012 Readers’ Choice Award, and the second acknowledgement was a 2012 New or Renovated Meeting Site Award.
Bob Martorana, general manager of The Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa, said he and the staff at the state’s largest hotel are pleased and proud that the resort has been recognized.
“We work extremely hard to provide outstanding customer service to our guests, and we take great pride in our excellent facilities,” Martorana said. “The re-opening of the Crystal Ballroom this past spring undeniably enhanced our meeting space.”
The restoration of the 5,600-square-foot ballroom included new maple hardwood floors, carpet, drapes, large mirrors and paint. The gorgeous crystal chandeliers – the namesake of the room – were cleaned, polished and refinished so they now sparkle like new with restored brass and updated lights.
“ConventionSouth readers nominated and voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that the Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa has been selected to receive our annual Readers’ Choice Award,” said ConventionSouth Publisher J. Talty O’Connor. “The value in receiving this prestigious recognition is that it comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals who book events held in the South.
“These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have contributed in determining that the Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa indeed displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity and service that they require.”
The hotel is among 100 convention and visitor bureaus, meeting facilities and hotels located across the South to receive this year’s Readers’ Choice Award. This is the Arlington’s third year to receive the award, making it an even greater honor.
Marlane Bundock, the magazine’s executive editor, said the Arlington’s recently renovated Crystal Ballroom is the textbook example of an elegant meeting room in the South complete with crystal chandeliers.
“The enhancements make that elaborate ballroom experience even better – stunning!” Bundock said.
The Arlington is among an elite list of 25 meeting facilities located across the South to receive this year’s New or Renovated Meeting Site Award.
As part of the recognition for the two awards, the resort hotel will be featured in the December 2012 issue of ConventionSouth magazine.
