70th Annual White River Water Carnival, Batesville

September 21, 2013

2013 marks the 70th anniversary of the White River Water
Carnival. This year's carnival will bring back some old traditions like the putt-putt tournament, the catfish cook-off, and the ballroom dance competition while including newer festivities like Art in the Park, the River City Cruisers car show, the Bone Collector wing-eating contest, the Kids' Zone, fireworks, and the wildly popular Afterglow 5k and dance party, which takes place after the festival (That's right, it's a night run!). The White River Water Carnival is a family-friendly event that everyone is sure to enjoy!

Make sure and visit the Batesville Chamber of Commerce to get a free water gun that can be used to “soak” the floats in the “wet zone” during the festival parade. Visit www.MyBatesville.org or phone 870-793-2378 to learn more.
