Reenactments of Arkansas Civil War Battles & More!
The Sesquicentennial of the Civil War in Arkansas officially began in 2011. Special events, ranging from reenactments of Arkansas Civil War battles to symposia to
special museum exhibits, are being held throughout The Natural State marking the momentous event. The
Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission was created to promote
the statewide observance of the historic episode. In preparation, a
special Web site was created to provide more in-depth information on the
upcoming four-year commemoration.
