The 44th annual Antique Auto Festival takes place at the Village at Pine Mountain. Antique and classic car entries will be there from Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Arkansas. Registration at the NAPA tent and Judging by the Carroll County Cruisers begin on Friday from noon – 6 p.m. and will resume Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The Grand Parade of Autos begins at 11 a.m. from Pine Mountain Village and will circle the historic loop from the old high school, go past the Eureka Springs Hospital, down Ellis Grade by the Crescent Hotel, upper Spring Street, past the Library, through downtown, turning north at the Spring St./Main St. junction, to Magnetic Springs Rd., turning right on Passion Play Rd., then heading west on Highway 62, and back to VPM.

Some of the autos will leave the parade and remain parked downtown on display near the Courthouse for a few hours, but the majority will be back on display at Pine Mountain until 3 p.m.

Your chance to be an eye witness at the bank robbery comes mid-morning. The 1922 Bank Robbery Re-enactment will take place immediately following the last car of the parade that passes the old Bank of Eureka Springs location at 40 Spring Street (currently The Jewel Box Gallery).

Eureka’s own Frank Cook will again be driving the Ford Model T getaway car. Come to town early to get parked (or ride the Trolley in), and enjoy the parade. Look for some 1920s-attired actors along with local Scrimshaw man Kurtz Miller in the lead and get some souvenir funny money too. Then be in place no later than 11:30 a.m. to see the outcome of the shoot-out. A band will play near the shoot-out area as well.

At Pine Mountain from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a DJ and door prizes while the autos are displayed.  At 4 p.m. at Pine Mountain Theater the Awards will be presented including the Everett Chevrolet Best of Show awards.
