The Beer & Bagel Off-Road Run, an off-road race series, is coming to Southwest Arkansas! The trail race is set for March 11, 2017 at Timber Lodge Ranch in Amity.  The venue offers picturesque scenery in the foothills of the Ouachita mountains. The run entails 4(ish) miles of off road running with a mix of rugged terrain and obstacles as part of the course. Along with the race, runners can look forward to a post run reward of cold beer, bagels, homemade chili, music, and a chance to meet the race mascot Sasquatch. Local craft microbrewery Bubba Brew’s out of Bonnerdale is set to provide the official beer of the race.

The trail race first took place 23 years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska and the series has since spread to multiple states, including Arkansas. Of note, online registration for the event closes March 8 and there are no race day sign ups. The race starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 11, with race day packet pickup taking place from 9-9:45 a.m. Timber Lodge Ranch is located at 966 Lodge Road in Amity. Registration is available here.
