Get ready to do some major Christmas celebrating in Central Arkansas.  Many of the events, which were postponed from last weekend due to the icy weather, have been rescheduled.

The annual Big Jingle Jubilee Parade  kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 14. The parade features floats, marching bands, animals, and two very special grand marshals — Mr. and Mrs. Claus. It travels west on Capitol Avenue, ending at the front of the Arkansas State Capitol.

Conway’s  Tinsel and Tutus Holiday Concert  is Wednesday, Dec. 11.  The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus.  The Conway Symphony Orchestra performs old favorites plus new arrangements of holiday classics. Also on the program are highlights from The Nutcracker danced by the Arkansas Festival Ballet and the Central Arkansas Children’s Choir. Admission is $20-$38 for adults, $6 for children.

The Holiday Lights Festival at North Little Rock’s Burns Park  is from 4 p.m-7 p.m. on Dec. 14.
