David’s Trail Endurance Run: Are You Up for the Challenge?

Should you choose to accept the challenge, you’re in for a beautiful running course through the Ozark Mountains and along Lake Norfork in Mountain Home during David’s Trail Endurance Run, consisting of a 7K, 25K, and 40K, at 9 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2016.

The 25K and 40K take you through a mix of single and double track trails and 5,000-plus feet in elevation change. The 7K offers scenic and challenging terrain through the older portions of David’s Trail. All courses run respective portions through Robinson Point and Panther Bay parks on the trail.

The race takes place rain or shine, sleet or snow. Cash purses, prizes, post-race grub, and a sense of accomplishment await you at the finish, so you know it’ll be worth the effort whether it’s sunny and 45 degrees or snowing.

Rocking Chair Resort serves as the race headquarters for the start and official hang out space for the finish. The fun at the resort includes a Friday night meet-and-greet, breakfast on Saturday, then bands, camp fires, and food after the race.

Race swag includes shirts for all participants and finisher awards for the 40K and 25K runners. Cash prizes are given for first place in each distance race. Proceeds of the run benefit trail expansion.

Now through Jan. 13, registration is $75 for the 40k, $60 for the 25K, and $30 for the 7K. For more information, email the race director at [email protected]. For information on other resorts along the trail or in the area, click here.
