Mapping the Back Roads: Arkansas Atlas & Gazetteer

One of my co-workers (thanks Kerry!) recently mailed me the latest edition of the Arkansas Atlas & Gazetteer. Since then it’s helped me immensely on many assignments and it has a permanent home in my car.

The atlas comes via a combined effort of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) and atlas company DeLorme. The latest edition includes every inch of public land in Arkansas and every public boat access and campsite the AGFC has to offer.

The publication is full of maps detailing highways, county roads, streams, wildlife management areas, state parks, national parks, national forests, lakes, boat ramps and much more.

Several pages also include info about hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, paddling, family outings, recreation areas and campgrounds.
