New adventure race debuts at DeGray Lake Resort State Park

DeGray Lake Resort State Park in Bismarck will be the scene of a new adventure next month. The inaugural Great DeGray Adventure Race takes place September 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The race is centered on navigation skills to find hidden markers throughout the state park.

Participants can compete the course solo or as teams or families and registration takes place 8 a.m. the day of the event in the lobby of the lodge. September is also a great time to hike and there are a range of trails at the park to check out. These include the .50 mile Chickadee Trail, the the .75 mile Green Heron Trail, the 1 mile Island Trail, the .25 mile Saginaw Historic Trail and the 1/2 mile Towering Pine Trail.
