Oaklawn Racing and Gaming Earns Kudos

Oaklawn Racing and Gaming in Hot Springs was recently voted the top Southern Casino in the 2015 Groups Today Readers’ Choice Awards. Oaklawn will be featured in the November/December issue of the publication. The magazine is geared towards the group travel industry and the readership base includes tour operators, travel agents, and  bank travel managers.

Oaklawn, which is located at 2705 Central Avenue, is open year-round for simulcasting and electronic gaming operations. The destination features a newly expanding gaming area and is also Arkansas’s only Thoroughbred racing venue.

The racetrack is one of the top tracks in the country and you can see live racing there from January through mid-April. Best known as the home of the Racing Festival of the South and Arkansas Derby, the track has played host to some of the biggest names in the sport including champions Zenyatta, Rachel Alexandra,  Smarty Jones, and recent Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.
