Searcy’s Annual Pioneer Village Fall Fest
Learn how your ancestors lived from day to day during the Pioneer Village Fall Fest, which takes place every November in Searcy. During the event, the collection of 19th century buildings, farm equipment and other antique items are open with costumed guides on hand throughout the grounds to answer visitor’s questions.
Some of the activities that take place include demonstrations of frontier crafts such as wood-carving, leather working, quilting, spinning and churning. You can watch the smithy plying his trade in the village blacksmith shop. Dairy and home canning displays are also offered.
You can start your Christmas shopping early by choosing from the handmade items available for purchase including pioneer toys constructed by a resident craftsman.Vendors are also usually on the grounds.Donations are accepted to benefit the White County Historical Society’s efforts in preserving the area’s history.
