Sweethearts Weekend at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

01/29/2014

If you are looking for something different to do for Valentine’s Day, surprise your significant other with a Sweethearts Weekend at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area in Rogers.

Hobbs pontoon w Bob Ross

Spend the day together in nature on Feb. 15 or 16. You’ll take an eagle watch cruise guided by a park interpreter on beautiful Beaver Lake. The boat stops at Ventris Trails End Resort for lunch then heads back to your starting point, Rocky Branch Marina.

The trip is limited to the first 10 couples or 20 individuals that sign up. Registration and pre-payment is required. The cost is $60 per couple. Call 479-789-5000 for more information and to register.

Trail’s End Resort is located on the main channel of Beaver Lake, just a short distance from the POINT “8” marker. It consists of more than 20 wooded acres, furnished cedar log cabins, barbecue grills, picnic tables, a playground, vending machines, a modern laundry facility, and a restaurant. There are an abundance of deer, wild turkey and other wildlife in the area to watch and photograph. The covered and lighted boat dock has a fish cleaning station. There is also an open dock for large boats, sailboats, or just for fishing. Various boats are available to rent — paddle boats, pontoon boats, and even a bass boat. The resort is open year round.
