Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Is Oct. 3
Help kids discover the joys of the great outdoors and mountain biking by participating in Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Holt Middle School in Fayetteville.
It’s free to participate. The event offers guided soft-surface trail riding for the beginner mountain biker. Helmets are required. There will also be bike safety checks, skills clinics, trail etiquette education, and participation recognition. Snacks and hydration will be provided. Moms and dads are welcome to ride too, making it a great family event.
All riders are required to complete a waiver, so those under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian signature. The event is sponsored by Ozark Off-Road Cyclists, International Mountain Bicycling Association, Adventure Subaru, the City of Fayetteville, Bike Fayetteville, and Clif Kid.
Holt Middle School is located at 2365 Rupple Road.
Numerous events take place across the globe. Last year, more than 13,000 participants joined events at hundreds of locations, including the USA, Australia, Canada, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico and South Africa.
