Time to make a game plan for the Main Street Food Truck Festival!

Downtown Little Rock’s Main Street Food Truck Festival, taking place this Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is back for its 6th year and is bigger than ever. In fact, with a record 60 trucks on the roster, the fest has grown so large that it’s spilling over Main Street and around the corner onto Capitol Avenue.

Now, it has a total of ten blocks packed with food trucks, beer gardens, a Kid Zone with fun activities, juried art and craft vendors, a swag tent, roving entertainers and even a full-service mobile bank (in case your stomach turns out to be bigger than your wallet). Plus the Budweiser Clydesdales, who will visit between 1 and 3 p.m.

It’s a lot to navigate, but never fear! Organizers from the Downtown Little Rock Partnership and the Main Street Revitalization Committee have devised a genius new way to help the anticipated 20,000-plus attendees get to the grub: a map. I know what you’re thinking—that’s not new. And you’re right. There’s always a map.

What’s new this year is that there’s a smartphone app for the map. Starting Friday, just text “foodtruck” to 313131, and you’ll get a text message with a link to a mobile map of the festival. Now you don’t have to study the online map the night before like you’re cramming for a final, nor do you have to carry around a folded piece of paper that gets harder to read every time you handle it. See? Genius.

For now, take a look at these maps of Main and Capitol and start planning for a very tasty Saturday.
