Time for the World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Downtown Hot Springs is a merry scene of green during the World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year, the word is Duck Dynasty’s Mountain Man will be the official starter for the First Ever 11th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 17. The parade’s entire route is the 98-foot length of Bridge Street, known as the world’s shortest street in everyday use.

Actor and comedian Jim Belushi will be the Grand Marshal. Those that have held this title in the past have included Bo Derek, John Corbett, Mike Rowe and others. During the event there will also be leprechauns (of course!), quirky floats, marching bands, Elvis impersonators and more. This is one of my favorite parades to attend every year and it is a celebration of not just St. Patrick’s Day, but of the city too.
