The system of trails we have in the state is unique and immense, from state park trails to national forest trails through the Delta or the mountainous regions of the Ozarks and Ouachitas. Outdoor enthusiasts will find Arkansas trails designed for day hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, ATVs and water trails. You can download complete maps of the Ouachita National Forest, Ozark-St. Francis National Forest and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for reference.

Many of the state’s natural areas overseen by the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission have trails as well. You can find additional information by visiting the ANHC website. The state park system includes 141 trails totaling 388 miles. Search by difficulty level, trail type and location to find the best trail for your excursion on Arkansas hiking trails, Arkansas mountain bike trails, and Arkansas ATV trails. And, barrier-free trails accommodate the needs of visitors with disabilities. All Arkansas state park trails are here to enjoy free of charge. It’s free fitness!
