Two July Kayak Tours at Hobbs

07/09/2013

What’s better in the summertime than heading to the lake? Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area in Rogers has a cool new way for you to experience Beaver Lake. Spend a cool morning paddling a kayak with a park interpreter.

All participants will learn the basics of paddling as the flotilla explores a calm arm of Beaver Lake. Recreational kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided.  Bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, and dress for the weather.

The kayak tours are offered Wednesday, July 10 and Sunday, July 14, both from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 10-16. You must be 10 or older to participate. Meet at the par visitor center, located on Ark. 12 just east of the War Eagle Road/Ark. 12 intersection. Space is limited. Registration and pre-payment required.
