studioDRIFT is pleased to announce that the second annual Birdeye Gravel Festival is set to return on Friday, November 3rd in Birdeye, Arkansas. The three-day festival benefits the Crowley’s Ridge Gravel Trail Project, a project focused on connecting Piggott to Helena. Once complete, the Crowley’s Ridge Gravel Trail will span 249 miles - and 7,825' of elevation.
Birdeye Gravel Festival combines and showcases everything unique about being in the Arkansas Delta. A combination of gravel riding, music, camping, local food, southern hospitality, and a little bit of everything in between. The festival is based on an 8-acre farm with a home built in 1903 serving as the hospitality headquarters.
Birdeye, Arkansas is nestled on the eastern slopes of Crowley's Ridge in the Arkansas Delta. Rich in culture and beautiful rolling county roads, Crowley’s Ridge in the Arkansas Delta is one of those places full of authenticity. Born by windblown glacial dust hitting river fog in the days of the woolly mammoth, this unique ecoregion is elevated 250 feet above the surrounding Mississippi Alluvial Plain. Crowley’s Ridge is a geographic anomaly that runs from southern Missouri all the way down to Helena.
The festival welcomes cyclists of all levels of expertise, and even visitors wishing to partake in other activities such as sashiko, yoga on the lawn, or a self-guided hike.
This festival and the Crowley’s Ridge Gravel Trail Project are symbolic of studioDRIFT's commitment to the prosperity of rural Arkansas. Adventure recreation strengthens both the economy and the ecology of the Natural State. Quality of life begins with quality of place.
