Junior Fishing Derby

Kids, grab your lucky fishing rod and get ready to reel in a “lunker.” This youth fishing derby takes place from 8-11 a.m. on Golf Course Pond #7, which will be stocked with hundreds of catfish for the event. Kids need to bring their own bait and tackle (one rod per participant) and the kids must do the fishing! Don’t forget a stringer for your fish. First through third place trophies will be awarded for heaviest stringers (up to ten fish) in two age groups. Kids ages 5-12 years old are eligible to participate. Co-sponsored by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission.
