This coming Friday (May 11) marks the beginning of the season for 2nd Friday Art Night, a monthly celebration that highlights the arts and culture of Little Rock. The after-hours art night takes place every second Friday of the month and many local businesses, art galleries and attractions like the Historic Arkansas Museum and Old State House Museum take part in the festivities each month.
Various different venues serve as hosts for the event each go around and you can learn more about each specific lineup and the entertainment offered at their website here. The event takes place in both the Creative Corridor of Main Street and in the River Market District and there is a free Art Walk trolly ( this is different from the streetcar trolly) that is available to take people from venue to venue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the event. Beer tastings by Lost Forty Brewing is a new addition to the trolley offering this year. You can also plan to do art night via foot as most of the venues are near each other making it a very walkable event.
