6th Annual Soul Food Dinner Slated for Feb. 3

February is Black History Month and Arkansas State University in Jonesboro kicks off the month with a scrumptious event.

The month starts off with the 6th annual Soul Food Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 3. Sponsored by the Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter of the ASU Alumni Association, the ASU Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Delta Studies Center, the event has become a very popular over the past few years. The potluck dinner features soul food favorites of the Arkansas Delta. Many dishes are provided and attendees bring others, although you do not have to bring a dish to attend. The event is free and open to the public.

The tasty evening is scheduled for this Thursday at the the Arkansas National Guard Armory on the ASU campus beginning at 6 p.m. With the threat of winter weather this week, Thursday, Feb. 10, will be the back-up date for the event.
