If you’re making plans to attend this year’s Arkansas King Biscuit Blues Festival, scheduled for Oct. 7-9 in Helena-West Helena, you need to go find a copy of the 2010 AT&T Yellow Pages right now! Read on…and you’ll understand why!

This year’s festival promises to be one of the best in the event’s 25-year history. The lineup – B.B. King, Taj Mahal, and Dr. John are the Main Stage headliners! – is amazing. There are a variety of special (secret) events in the works right now. Festival director Munnie Jordan has sworn me to secrecy…so I’ll never tell. But believe me, you do NOT want to miss this year’s festival!

Here’s why you need the AT&T Yellow Pages. Near the back of book, you’ll find a $3 off coupon when you purchase an advance ticket at Food Giant locations in Little Rock, Helena-West Helena, Marianna, Forrest City and Harrisburg. The advance tickets are $23…and with the coupon (which can be used to purchase up to four advance tickets), you only pay $20. The ticket (which you’ll trade for a wristband at the festival when you arrive) gets you in front of the festival’s Main Stage all three days.

The coupon appears in the back of the Yellow Pages in Batesville, Brinkley, Conway, El Dorado, Eureka Springs, Forrest City, Fort Smith, Hamburg, Heber Springs, Helena-West Helena, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, Lake Village, Little Rock, Lonoke, Mena, Monticello, Newport, Osceola, Pine Bluff, Searcy, Texarkana, and Warren.

Tickets/wristbands are only needed to access the area in front of the festival’s Main Stage. Other activities and performances at the other stages are free. Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for more information on the festival.
