Camden Daffodil Festival

Zoie Clift

One of South Arkansas’
largest events takes place during the 16th annual Camden Daffodil Festival March 6-7 in Camden.

The event offers an opportunity to enjoy the history of
the area with guided tours through the city’s museums, antebellum homes,
and historical sites complete with costumed re-enactments.

Start by visiting the Garden
areas, open both Friday and Saturday where you will find 13 acres of daffodils
at the renowned Daniel’s Garden, and a martial arts performance at the Japanese
Garden. Guided tours through the historic Oakland Cemetery with Civil War
re-enactors will also take place.

Also on the agenda for
the weekend is the annual 5k run, pancake breakfast, arts and crafts show and
sale, live music acts and stage events. There will also be a live petting
zoo, rock climbing walls, and children’s activities.  Sidewalk vendors with food and crafts
will be on hand as well as the  9th
