The best way to deal with Monday is to start planning for the weekend. So, just head over to WaltonArtsCenter.org and get your tickets to see Candlebox on Thursday, Sept. 29 and Jamey Johnson on Friday, Sept. 30. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Arkansas Music Pavilion, an outdoor venue located next to the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville.
Candlebox is a Seattle-based band that hit the music scene in the early 90s with a unique fusion of grunge, blues and classic-style hard rock. Hits songs include “Far Behind,” “You” and “Cover Me.” Candlebox will appear at The AMP with special guests Taddy Porter, Fools for Rowan, and Cowboy Mouth.
Alabama native Jamey Johnson rose to the top in Nashville by first earning respect as a stellar songwriter. This former Marine wasn’t content behind the scenes, and spent years working toward success as a recording artist and performer. He’s definitely done that. He has two critically-acclaimed albums, tons of awards and nominations, and sold-out performances in numerous venues. A country music superstar in this own right, Johnson has been compared to throw-back legends like Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams.

Note that this weekend is also the 12th annual Bikes, Blues, and BBQ, a huge bike festival taking place all over Fayetteville. There will be a ton to do and see everywhere you turn.
