Celebrity Grand Marshal of 2011 World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade Announced

It has just been announced
that TV/movie star John Corbett will be the celebrity grand marshal of the First
Ever Ninth Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hot Springs
March 17, 2011.

Corbett is coming off
starring roles in the latest Sex and the City movie and is one of the stars of
the Emmy-winning Showtime series United States of Tara.

The parade, which began in
2003, is held each March 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the area surrounding 98-foot-long
Bridge Street, the world’s shortest street in everyday use.

Corbett starred as Ian
Miller in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which was one of the highest grossing
independent films of all time.

He is perhaps best known as
Aidan Shaw playing opposite Sarah Jessica Parker in HBO’s Sex and the City, in
which he was a Golden Globe nominee in 2002.  Corbett also received Emmy
and Golden Globe nominations for his work on the CBS comedy series Northern

He currently stars as Max
Gregson on Showtime’s United States of Tara co-starring Toni Collette.

Corbett can also be seen at
shows across the country with his band, The John Corbett Band. In addition Corbett
was recently seen in the films Street Kings, with Keanu Reeves and Forest
Whitaker, The Burning Plain, with Charlize Theron, and in the Sony feature The
Messengers d
irected by Danny and Oxide Pang.  Corbett will next be seen
in Fox 2000’s Ramona and Beezus
