Cheese Dip Championship & Chow Down is Saturday

Kerry Kraus

All-you-can-eat cheese dip and college football. Saturday’s don’t get much better than that. We have one coming up this Saturday, Sept. 24 with the 2nd annual World Cheese Dip Championship in Little Rock. From 1 p.m.-7 p.m. come celebrate Arkansas’s culinary export to the world. Feast on copious amounts of cheese dip then vote for your favorite. Get your game face on and take part in the Cheese Dip Chow Down to see if you are the top cheese dip eater.

You can watch the live broadcast of the University of Arkansas vs. Alabama football game on the stadium Jumbotron, enjoy live music by featured artists Velvet Kente, Bonnie Montgomery and Friends, and Rodney Block and the Real Cheese Dip Lovers, and enjoy kids having fun. Other foods will be available for sale. Everything takes place inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, I-630 and Fair Park Blvd.

The 3rd annual Arkansas Boat & RV Super Sale, with new and used boats, RVs, motorcycles, and ATVs for sale, will be in the stadium parking lot. Admission to this show is free. The cheese dip festival has a $10 general admission fee with ages 10 and under admitted free. Proceeds benefit the Harmony Health Clinic, which serves non-insured Arkansans. Visit or phone 501-993-7502 for more information.
