There are numerous signs that spring has arrived in The Natural State. The blooming of the dogwoods, redbuds, jonquils, and azaleas, the rush of water as rivers and streams are filled by the rains, the beginning of festival season, AND the opening of outdoor movie season. The Silver Moon Cinema series in Conway opens tomorrow, April 2, at The Village at Hendrix. Showtime is around 7:45 p.m. and the first showing is “Cars.”

Come early for the car show presented by the Christian Car Club of Conway beginning at 3:30 p.m. A bounce house and car bash are other activities. Concession items of popcorn and drinks will be sold by volunteers for the Trey Hickey Fund. A $1 movie admission, along with proceeds from the car bash and concession stand, go to the fund.  Hickey is a 13-year-old Conway resident battling cancer. Monies raised will help pay for his treatment.
