Zoie Clift
If you are
looking for something a bit different, actor and experimental filmmaker Crispin
Glover is visiting the state July 2-3 to show his most recent surrealist film, It
Glover is best
known for his character George McFly in Back to the Future,  and also for
roles in Charlie
s Angels, Alice in
and others.
The second film
of a planned three-part series, Glover only allows the film to be shown  in-person as part of his traveling
program. For this reason, his in-person showings are extremely rare events with
people often traveling hundreds of miles to attend.
The film is
directed by Glover with screenwriter Steven C. Stewart, who has cerebral palsy
and also stars in the film in the leading role. In Glover
s recent films, many of the characters have real-life
disabilities, as he feels handicapped actors appear more natural
Before the film,
Glover  performs the Big Slide Show,
an hour-long dramatic narration  and slide show. He will also be available
for questions after the showing, and autograph  signings of his posters
and books following the film. The film, admission is $20, is being shown:
Saturday, July 2
at 7pm – Market Street Cinema, 1521 Merrill Drive, West Little Rock
