Cure Cabin Fever This Weekend at the Marine Expo Show

Kerry Kraus

One of the best cures for cabin fever is coming up this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 21-23. It’s time for the 29th annual Arkansas Marine Expo, held at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock.

The Natural State is an outdoors lover’s paradise with all the lakes, rivers, and mountains for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. Come check out the latest offerings with nearly 200 including bass, deck, ski, wakeboard boats, along with party barges and personal watercraft. This year features an expanded selection of discount fishing tackle. Vendors will disperse information on lakes, vacation destinations, and fishing, boating and recreation products.

According to show organizer Ken Griffey, “Marine Expo is bringing back the ‘First Mate Scouting Patch Program,’ created to introduce parents and children to boating and fishing as an activity the family can enjoy year-round.”

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults with children ages 12 and under free.
If you don’t already have one, go to and order an Arkansas Vacation Planning Kit.  Now you’re ready to go.
