Friday Roundup: Ghostly Business

Friday blogs are a mix of things instead of fitting a theme like my other blog days. Most of the time it will be event oriented and other times just something I need to share.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa in Eureka Springs numerous times for work and for play. On more than one occasion, I have stayed in an allegedly haunted room. While I have never experienced a ghostly encounter, I have tried to set myself up to do so. Once I made sure to close all the blinds the same way, close the shower curtain, leave the bathroom door closed, things like that to see if anything changed or moved. Nothing ever did. Honestly, while the idea of it seemed fun and exciting, I would have totally freaked out if any haunting action came my way. But I’m still intrigued by the stories.

Here’s a link to a USA Today article and video about the Crescent, which offers Ghost Tours. I get goose bumps just reading it.

Have any of you ever had a ghost encounter at the Crescent or any other Eureka Springs or Arkansas locale?
