Geocaching Friday: On the Road…the Great River Road!

On Fridays, I’ll share some of my favorite geocaching spots throughout The Natural State. Even if you’re not a cacher, the Friday blogs will feature towns and attractions throughout the eastern section of Arkansas…perfect for a weekend trip!

Happy Friday!! I’m actually writing this blog from the road…Arkansas’s portion of the Great River Road to be exact! I just started working on a very exciting geocaching project for southeast Arkansas!
In April, we will unveil a new geocaching power trail extending from the Arkansas state lines at Lake Village and south of Eudora, following the Great River Road north to McGehee, east to Arkansas City and then up to Dumas. And you’re the first ones to hear about it!
Many of the details are still being finalized. But I can tell you this: if you’re a geocacher, this is something that you will not want to miss!! The day-and-a-half event will feature prizes, food, special events and LOTS of brand new caches!! Plenty of First to Finds (FTFs)!
We’ll be working on the project for the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’d like to know what you think! Email me at
Have a great weekend!
