Hot Springs Blues Festival Starts Tonight

Looking for a way to start enjoying
 the long weekend? If you are into
the blues, the Hot Springs Blues Festival starts tonight ( Sept. 3) and goes
through Saturday. ( the 4th) 
The festival takes place at Hill Wheatley Plaza

 in Hot Springs. 

Tonight gates open at 5
and the show starts at 6. Tonight’s lineup includes:

John Calvin Brewer Band.

Grady Champion- 2010
International Blues Challenge winner, often compared to Sonny Boy Williamson

Janiva Magness- 2009 Blues
Music Award Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year Magness
will headline Friday evening’s show.

On Saturday (Sept. 4), gates
open at 3pm and the show starts at 4.The day’s lineup includes:

The Juvenators

Bowlegged Rooster

Headlining Saturday’s
show will be legendary blues guitarist, Bernard Allison. The son of Luther
Allison, Allison carries the same six string assault as his father. Allison
spent time playing with Koko Taylor’s Blues Machine and joined Johnny Winter
and Stevie Ray Vaughan in performances over the years.

General admission is $5/day.
VIP tickets are $20 which includes two-day admission, covered seating, and
