Mark Givens, Executive Director of Main Street El Dorado, has sent word that Kenny Rogers will perform on Saturday, November 9 at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium (100 W 8th) in El Dorado. The concert, part of Rogers’ Through The Years World Tour, begins at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30.
A Grammy Award-winning musician and 2013 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee, Rogers, who is 75,has recorded twenty four No. 1 songs (including “The Gambler,” “Lady,” and “Islands In The Stream”) and sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, making him one of the highest-selling artists of all time. Rogers has charted a record within each of the last seven decades.
In the past year, Rogers has released his memoir, Luck or Something Like It; co-written his first novel, What are the Chances; and played the famed Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary and Performing Arts in England for more than 100,000 fans.
