Last-Minute Ideas: Osceola Musicfest and an Arkansas History Fair

Just in case some of you still haven’t made plans for the weekend, it’s not too late!

Celebrate the rich musical heritage of the Arkansas Delta in Osceola! The Osceola Musicfest kicks off tonight with performances by The Round-Up Band, Finding Jimmy Hoffa, Julius Gibson and Dr. Zarr and his Amazing Funkmonster. The performances begin at 6 p.m. Tomorrow’s performances begin at 2 p.m. Scheduled to take the stage are Southern Skies; Radio Streets; The Eric Hughes Band; Sonny Burgess and the Legendary Pacers; Tom, Dick and Harry; and Tracy Lawrence. Parkin Archeological State Park in Parkin hosts the Arkansas History Fair on Saturday. The Territorial-era event honors Arkansas’s Septaquintaquinquecentennial. Enjoy music, open fire pit cooking, a riverboat captain and pioneer era games for the whole family. It’s all free from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
