Legends Balloon Rally This Weekend in Hot Springs

Zoie Clift

Hot air balloons and
live music are on the agenda this weekend ( September 24-25) in Hot Springs.
The Legends Balloon Rally takes place at Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport on
Highway 70 West.

A new feature this year
will be two balloon-glows after sunset.
“The balloon-glows are
spectacular,” said Steve Arrison of the Hot Springs CVB. “All 25 balloons will
be gathered behind the stage, and the sight of them glowing from the inside is
really something to see. This has been one of the most popular events at our
previous rallies, and we’re doubling up this year.”

The balloon rally
features 25 of the top hot-air balloon pilots in the nation.
are piloted by a veteran balloonist with no less than 300 hours experience.

Grammy-winning music
legends Clint Black and The Charlie Daniels Band (CDB) are also set to perform
at the rally.
Black will perform on
the 24th (Friday night) and The CDB will perform the following night. Both
concerts are free. Black has more than
thirty singles on the U.S. Billboard country charts and has released 9 albums. Charlie
Daniels is a fusion of rock, country, bluegrass, blues and gospel. His
songs include “Uneasy Rider,” “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” and “The South’s
Gonna Do It.” For more information call Steve Arrison at 501-321-2027.
