New Artists Studio Tour This Weekend in Mountain Home

Jill M. Rohrbach

The Art Odyssey, an artist’s studio tour, is a new offering in Mountain Home set for May 20-21. Approximately 40 artists in Baxter and Marion counties were judged and 24 were selected to participate. Artists include painters, sculptors, beaders, photographers, fiber artists, potters, basket artists, mosaic artists, and mixed media artists. The free studio tours will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Sneak Preview Exhibit, featuring art from each of The Art Odyssey artists, is currently on display at the Donald W. Reynolds Library.

In addition to the artists who will have their home studios open, some local businesses will host an artist, including Nature’s Way Health Foods on the square, First Street Frame Studio, Judicious Spirits, and Wade Street Marketplace. In addition, a few artists will be showing at their own studio gallery.

Sponsors for The Art Odyssey include The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, The Baxter Bulletin, the Donald W. Reynolds Library, and First National Bank where information and maps can be picked up prior to the event.
