October Brings Fun for Kids of All Ages in Eastern Arkansas

October is a great time to get out and take the kids on an adventure in eastern Arkansas!

Feel the chill in the air and listen for the whispers of ghosts when Davidsonville Historic State Park in Pocahontas hosts the Ghosts of Davidsonville Fall Festival on Oct. 13. The family-friendly festival features musical performances, carnival games, activities just for kids, carnival food and a hayride through the park’s historic town site and decorated campground. Admission is $5. Phone the park at 870-892-4708 to learn more.

Youngsters of all ages will enjoy experiencing life of the pioneers at the 22nd annual Homestead Festival at Parker Homestead in Harrisburg. This year’s events are scheduled for Oct. 13-14 and Oct. 20-21. Visit the restored buildings and enjoy sorghum cooking, broom making, covered wagon rides, butter making blacksmithing, and live music. Visit www.ParkerHomestead.com or phone 870-578-2699 for more information.
There is no reason to be bored this October…there are great events and activities for the entire family going on throughout the north central Ozarks and the Arkansas Delta!
