Ozark Folk Center Offers Hands-On Fun

Jill M. Rohrbach

Need to sharpen your own knife? Want to print your own book? Itching to sculpt your own pottery or make a wash cloth soap bunny?

Then head to Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View this Labor Day weekend for some hands-on fun. The park’s craft village features more than 20 different shops, each with a crafts person demonstrating and selling what they make. On Sept. 3, 4, and 5, you can sign up for a short class to learn from these artisans and make your own craft. Workshops last 10 to 30 minutes.
Here’s the list of fun stuff you can make and the cost, which is not much at all. They would be fun gifts for friends, and relatives, or just for yourself.
