Plan-Ahead Event: Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas Presents

Kimberly J. Williams

“Plan-Ahead Event” blogs are posted early in the week and feature events and festivals that are popular or unique…and give readers plenty of time to make plans to attend!

I’m a HUGE fan of Broadway musicals. In fact, one of my all-time favorites, “Wicked,” starts at the Robinson Auditorium in Little Rock this week. If you’ve never seen it, you should take this opportunity.

If you love show tunes, both past and present, you need to make plans to head to Pine Bluff this week! “Razzle Dazzle” takes the stage at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas on Nov. 4-7. It’s a musical variety show featuring Broadway show tunes ranging from some very new numbers to memorable songs from classic shows, including “Phantom of the Opera,” “ Les Miserables,” “42nd Street,” “Lion King,” “ Damn Yankees,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Jersey Boys.”

Tickets range from $16 to $20. The opening night performance includes a reception with the cast after the show. Show time is 7:30 p.m. on Thursday thorugh Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Log on to or phone 870-536-3375 for details.
